As soon as the call ended, the phone rang again, and Jean, who’d been a piano player in vaudeville, announced she had an idea for a song – ‘Splish, splash, take a bath.’ With that as a starting point, Murray and Bobby worked on the lyrics, Jean collaborated on the tune, and they marched the song over to Atlantic Records, which was Darin. By filling and pouring out containers of different sizes your baby is learning about volume and capacity. Once she becomes more coordinated she’ll pour the water from one container into another container. She’ll discover that all the water from the large container doesn’t fit into the smaller container.

Splish-Splash Bible Bash is a children's ministry program for mixed ages that sends kids off to surf watery Bible stories and learn some important truths. Each lessson opens with a gathering time for prayer and music, followed by a lively, humorous puppet presentation. Then kids splash into the Bible with interactive stories that put them right on the scene. There, sitting in a huge pile of bubbles in the tub was Dean and Castiel. They both had shampoo mohawks and Castiel had a bubble goatee to match. There was water and bubbles everywhere and they were belting out the chorus of Bobby Darin's song "Splish Splash" in between Castiel's tiny giggles.

I think this book would be great to read to a child who is ready for bath time. Splish, Splash was a easy read story with lots of pictures and 4/5(3).

Make bathtime learning time with the "Splish, Splash!" Magic Bath Book by Moira Butterfield. When the book is put into water, the animals change colors. When the pages dry out, the animals turn white.4/5(2).

This book combines a touch-and-feel experience with a lift-the-flap experience, making it highly interactive and engaging for babies and toddlers. The photos include babies with bath-related objects. The text is simple, and the books are durable enough for the littlest of hands.

This simple little reader tells the story of a fish and his tub, and all the animals big and small, tall, and skinny, who all squeeze into the tub for a bath. There is plenty of repetition, and the text uses simple words. I would have liked to see something funnier happen at the end--maybe everyone fall out of the tub.

It was written with DJ Murray the K (Murray Kaufman), who bet that Darin could not write a song that began with the words, "Splish Splash, I was takin' a bath", as suggested by Murray's mother, Jean Kaufman.

The song was credited to Darin and "Jean Murray" (a combination of their names) to avoid any hint of. I suppose she did not have a heart to throw her precious Splish Splash bottles away.
